I have been mentored one-on-one under the guidance of Swami Sitaramananda from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Yoga Farm in California from May 1999 to June 2002 while being a full time staff member and from 2006 to 2012 part time while assisting Swami Sitaramananda during her travels and courses in South East Asia.

As acting assistant director from 1999-2002 at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram/Center in Grass Valley and San Francisco and directing my own Yoga Center in Hannover, Germany, since 2004 I have now 18 years of full time experience applying the therapeutic benefits of classical Yoga practices and techniques. This experience has taken place primarily in the context of group sessions, one-on-one therapeutic classes, corporate yoga sessions, adapted courses to special groups as well as training and counseling new yoga teachers.

The client population varies and covers people from all walks of life; from children to elders; men and women; from stressed out students to overworked corporate executives. Emphasis is placed on those who suffer from stress-related physical and/or psychological health conditions to those seeking answers to deeper spiritual questions.

Additionally, I have offered this work at different  Sivananda Ashrams and Centers in the US, Canada, Bahamas, Europe, Vietnam, Japan and India.

I have learned from many specialty teachers such as Dr. Timothy McCall (Yoga as Medicine, Yoga and Stress); Swami Sivadasananda (Yoga Anatomy); Swami Kailasananda (Hatha Yoga Pradipika), Swami Pranavananda (Yoga Teaching Methods), Ursula Skop (Krishnamacharya Mandiram Yoga Therapy), Pandit Swapan Chaudhury (Nada Yoga), Dr. Marc Halpern (Ayurveda), Dr. Sivnarayan Gupta, Nadiad (Ayurvedic Diet), Annett Emmert (Myofascial Yoga Therapy), Reinhard Klinge (Vastu), Gudrun Lewis-Schellenbeck and Vinay Aditya (Vedic Astrology), Michael Gernke (Psychology).

The individual centric teaching methodology is based on an initial assessment and the progression of each student over time. Customized and periodically evolving practice routines are central in this approach. It integrates tools of yoga, meditation, relaxation, diet, lifestyle practices and adapting them to the individual requirements based on age, profession, capacity (health status & constitution) and also external factors such as place of residence, season and so on. The teaching is addressing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level of health and well being. This includes areas of recovery or management of existing health conditions.

In addition the knowledge of Ayurveda, Vedic Astrology (Jyotish) and Yoga Philosophy are also applied in support of the Yoga techniques and practices.
